Using Workbench Pro preset libraries
Save named reusable setups, choose automatic defaults, and apply them without live-linking a project.
Each workflow has the right preset scope
Workbench Pro stores named, allowlisted settings rather than whole projects. CabCAD and BenchCAD use Design presets, JoinCAD uses Connector setups, and CutCAD keeps independent Sheet Setup and Lumber Setup libraries.
- Each library supports up to 20 named presets.
- One preset may be the automatic default; choosing none keeps Factory defaults.
- Account Preferences manages names, duplicates, defaults, and deletion across owned modules.
Applying copies settings into the project
A preset never stays live-linked. Renaming, updating, or deleting the library row does not rewrite an existing project. Project dimensions, layouts, imported geometry, connector placements, part overrides, and generated results remain outside the preset unless the module explicitly invalidates a dependent result after application.
The module shows when local settings are modified from the applied preset and when a newer library revision is available. Reapply explicitly when you want that update.
