Openings before ribs
For Paulk-style and traditional torsion-box work, BenchCAD derives rib stations from the opening layout, then checks them against the top grid and required clearances. A requested value is an input; the generated value is the result after those coupled constraints are resolved.
Read the correction summary
Optimization & Cleanup shows the generated corrections and material-saving opportunities. Review the final part dimensions there rather than assuming every typed dimension survived unchanged.
- Movable stations can shift to the nearest valid target grid.
- Fixed boundaries remain fixed and may force a nearby station to move instead.
- Placement results are reported separately so a corrected count is not mistaken for a manual edit.
