Drawer separators and opening layouts

Keep drawer envelopes, fronts, and separator geometry aligned in frameless cabinets.

Choose how each drawer level is supported

For drawer-capable frameless cabinets, enable drawer separators and choose the construction style. The cabinet bottom supports the lowest drawer; CabCAD adds a separator beneath each drawer level above it.

  • Shallow stretcher is the default and creates a front rail with butt-joint connector hints.
  • Full depth creates a horizontal panel flush with the cabinet front and extending to the front face of the back panel.
  • Full-depth separators follow carcass butt-screw or dado-rabbet construction; shallow stretchers remain butt joined.

If a divider looks misplaced

  1. Check the opening layout: Confirm drawer count, opening order, and unequal drawer heights first.
  2. Check the separator switch: The full-width switch controls whether separators exist; the segmented control chooses shallow or full depth.
  3. Reset the section: Use the local reset action if inherited or edited values no longer match the intended cabinet type.
