Handing a cabinet model to JoinCAD

Send a cabinet payload forward without losing source roles or material context.

Choose the downstream route

  1. Review Handoff & Export: Confirm the generated cabinet and any warnings before leaving CabCAD.
  2. Send to JoinCAD: Use this route when connector hardware, pilot holes, or machining vectors need to be added and validated.
  3. Send to CutCAD: Use the direct route when the cabinet only needs sheet or lumber stock planning.

What moves

The handoff saves the current project first, then carries the 3MF assembly with source module, stable part IDs, part roles, materials, joinery hints, and mating relationships. If saving fails, ShopCAD keeps you in CabCAD and reports the failure instead of navigating with an older snapshot.
