Connector fit and validation checks

Use reference faces, edge distance, material thickness, and placement span to resolve flagged joints.

Read the joint editor from the seam outward

  • The seam length and keep-out zones determine the usable placement span.
  • Reference faces determine the workpiece plane and drilling direction; they are not interchangeable with the part longest dimension.
  • Connector-specific thickness, edge-distance, pitch, and pair-spacing rules determine whether the requested count fits.
  • The connector roles selected in the joint editor determine which workpiece receives a housing, mating hole, or pilot operation; a generic 3MF does not need cabinet-part mapping.

Resolve only the flagged relationship

  1. Open Joint settings: Confirm the two reference faces and connector roles match the physical joint.
  2. Adjust the choice: Change connector family, count, seating, or placement when the current joint cannot satisfy its rules.
  3. Revalidate: Return to Validation and confirm the joint no longer blocks Handoff & Export.
