Reconciling updated source geometry
Preserve safe connector intent when a CabCAD or BenchCAD source changes.
A changed source marks JoinCAD out of date
CabCAD and BenchCAD compare the current manufacturing fingerprint with the source revision accepted by JoinCAD. Editing connector-relevant geometry does not silently overwrite JoinCAD; it marks the downstream stage stale until you explicitly update it.
Understand the reconciliation summary
| Preserved | Relationship geometry is unchanged | Manual placements, offsets, skips, and review resolutions remain. |
|---|---|---|
| Repositioned | The joint still exists but changed | Connector intent remains; exact offsets are recalculated and review reopens. |
| Removed | The old joint no longer exists | Its decision is archived and excluded from active output. |
| Restored | An archived joint returned | Its intent is restored, reflowed, and reopened for review. |
| New | A new relationship was detected | It enters the normal recommendation and review queue. |
Review affected joints before CutCAD
Changed, restored, new, or invalid relationships block the JoinCAD-to-CutCAD handoff until their required review is complete. Unchanged relationships do not need to be redone.
